Since July 1st 2014, it has been a legal requirement that all fabricated steel products used in construction be 'CE Marked'. All steel or aluminium products purchased from Total Steel that are to be used in construction will be supplied CE Marked up to Execution Class 3.

It is important to use a supplier that is CE compliant, as it is a criminal offence to install Structural Steelwork that is not CE compliant.

It is possible that trading standards could force the removal of non conforming products from a building or structure, even if the project has been completed.
